Donations

General terms

Donations to Estuari may be subject to the terms and conditions of a third party financial services provider, such as PayPal. Please refer to the terms and conditions provided on the donation page hosted and operated by PayPal. 


Conditions relating to the use of appeal funds will be identified in the relevant appeal details online or by contacting us on collaborate@estuari.org, and will also appear on your tax receipt.


Disputes and refunds

All complaints, grievances and disputes will be treated seriously, quickly and in a timely manner, having due regard to procedural fairness and confidentiality. All parties are required to participate in the dispute resolution process in good faith. If you believe that there has been an error with your donation, you should notify us directly and confirm that notice in writing or by email at collaborate@estuari.org as soon as possible so that we can resolve your query quickly. Any issues should be directed to Estuari in the first instance so that we can attempt to resolve the matter. If you are not satisfied with the outcome you can still refer it to your financial institution which will obtain details of the disputed transaction and may lodge a claim on your behalf.


Your obligations

It is your responsibility to ensure that there are sufficient clear funds available in your account. You should check your account statement to verify that the amounts debited from your account are correct.


Feedback and complaints handling procedure

Estuari welcomes feedback and attends to all complaints promptly. Please email safeguarding@estuari.org to discuss such concerns.


Privacy

For details regarding the use of your personal information, please refer to our Privacy Policy at www.estuari.org/governance. When you provide us with your email address or mobile phone number, you opt in to receive electronic communications in respect of news, promotions, and updates on the status of returns and refunds. You can opt out of receiving electronic communications by changing your preferences through the link included in each communication. If you opt out, you will still receive certain service emails from us, such as update emails relating to purchases.


Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales and both parties hereby submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

Social media

The purpose of Estuari social media is to achieve several objectives:

  • To share information on Estuari programs.
  • Share information and updates on program activities, emergencies or disasters in Australia and internationally.
  • Promote ways for people to get involved with Estuari and/or its partners its activities.
  • Provide support and resources to communities.


On our social media account, including but not limited to YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, BlueSky and X (Twitter), we welcome you to engage with our content. Our team typically monitors social media pages during business hours AEST Mondays to Fridays only. Outside those hours and on public holidays, Estuari posts may be automatically generated however will not be moderated until the following business day.


By interacting with our social media, we ask that you are respectful of all users and refrain from personal attacks on others.


Estuari will endeavour to remove any comments which:

  • May cause offence to other users
  • Contain information that is false or misleading
  • Are racist, sexist, or discriminatory in any way
  • Breach someone else’s confidentiality, privacy or security
  • Are defamatory, abusive, offensive, unlawful, violent, threatening, use profanities, or vilify others including Estuari or our partners
  • Advertise or offer to sell any goods or services, contain spam or any other unsolicited commercial message
  • Infringe on the intellectual property right of others
  • Contain links to external sources that may be deemed unsafe


To assist with the moderation of content, and mitigate against the potential violation of these guidelines, Estuari reserves the right to turn off commenting on any post temporarily or permanently, including outside of business hours.


Users with multiple, recurring offenses may be blocked from contributing to Estuari social media profiles and may be reported to the social media platform or other authorities without notice.


Estuari take no responsibility for comments from followers, and they do not reflect the opinions of the organisation, its employees or affiliates.


Estuari reserves the right to update or change these guidelines at any time and will review the guidelines periodically.
